Spark Ads: authorization codes and TikTok posts

Apply creators’ authorization codes to many ad accounts, manage authorized posts, and create ads from TikTok posts.

Spark Ads run TikTok posts that are already published. Posts come from three places: TikTok accounts linked to the ad account, TikTok accounts authorized through a Business Center, and creators’ posts authorized to you with a code.

Applying authorization codes

  • Under Spark Ads → Apply codes, paste the codes (one per line, up to 100, duplicates removed) and choose the ad accounts (up to 20, at most 200 at once). A duet or stitch also needs the original post’s code.
  • Every code is applied to every chosen account in the background; results appear in the task log, and anything TikTok refuses shows TikTok’s own words (for example an expired code).
  • Codes are stored encrypted and shown only masked. Applying codes needs an operator role or above and a paid plan.

Authorized posts

  • Under Authorized posts, choose an ad account to see the creators’ posts authorized to it, the creator, status and when the authorization ends.
  • “Unbind” removes a post from the ad account; ads that use it stop delivering.

Creating an ad from a post

  • When you create an ad, choose “TikTok post (Spark Ads)”, pick the TikTok account and the post, and fill in the ad name, call to action and landing page. The ad shows the post itself (video and text) — no upload — and is created paused.
  • TikTok no longer allows custom identities (a display name and avatar) for ads on TikTok placements, so use a TikTok post where you can.
