Copying ads: campaigns and ad groups

Copy a campaign that works, with its ad groups and ads, into other accounts — or copy ad groups within an account.

Campaigns → other accounts

  1. Pick the source account and campaigns (up to 20, sorted by last-7-day spend).
  2. Pick the target accounts (up to 50; the source account can be one; pick by tag if you use tags).
  3. Set copies per account (1–5), the status of the copies (paused by default) and whether to delete a copy whose ads all failed. Up to 200 copies per task.
  4. Click “Check first” — a read-only check that changes nothing — then “Start copying”. The task runs in the background.

What a copy into another account handles

  • Videos and images are uploaded into the target account.
  • Custom identities: the target’s identity with the same name, or a new one with the source avatar.
  • Pixels: the target account’s copy of the same pixel (shared through your Business Center). Without it, the ad group is not copied and the check tells you to share it first.
  • Custom audiences, instant forms, catalogs, apps, shops and other source-account assets: the ad group or ad is not copied and the reason is shown — targeting and creatives are never changed silently.
  • Ad groups whose start time has passed start 10 minutes after the copy.
  • Copies are named after the source with “copyN-XXXX” at the end.

Different settings per account

Tick “Different settings per account” to set a name prefix / suffix, ad group budget, bid and landing page for each target account; the “All accounts” row fills them at once. Empty fields keep the source’s values.

Ad groups → same account

Pick ad groups of one campaign (up to 20) and copy each 1–10 times into the same or another campaign — to test another audience, bid or creative next to the original.

Copying on Meta

Switch the copy page to Meta to copy campaigns (with their ad sets and ads) into any of your Meta ad accounts, or ad sets (with their ads) into a campaign you choose in the same account — up to 20 at a time. Inside one account Meta’s own copy is used; into another account the campaign is rebuilt: images and videos are copied over, Pages, pixels and posts are used as they are when that account can use them, and ad sets with custom audiences or catalogs are not copied (the reason is shown). Both accounts must use the same currency. Copies start paused and get “copyN-XXXX” at the end of the name.

Smart+ and GMV Max

  • Smart+ campaigns are rebuilt through TikTok’s Smart+ API with the same rules as other copies; materials switched off in the source are left out; the few settings the Smart+ API cannot set (such as brand safety) are listed in the result and use TikTok’s defaults.
  • GMV Max: the settings (target ROI and daily budget) are copied into a new all-products GMV Max campaign in the target account’s one ready shop. You accept TikTok’s shop rules first; the same shop, several ready shops, a second copy into one shop within a task, and shops TikTok’s own shop check does not allow are refused before anything is sent. Settings that are not carried (such as an end date or automatic budget) are listed in the result. TikTok creates GMV Max campaigns running; we pause it right away unless you keep the source states.
  • Older Smart Performance campaigns and other shop campaigns (LIVE GMV Max, chosen products, Shopping ads) can’t be copied; the check says so.
One copy task runs at a time.
