Before you start
- You need Ad Account Admin rights in Business Manager
- Your personal Facebook account is linked to that Business Manager
- If this is your first authorization, Facebook may require 2FA
Steps
- Dashboard → "+ Connect account" → Meta Ads
- On the OAuth screen, pick the ad accounts to connect (multi-select supported)
- Approve the scopes: ads_management, ads_read, business_management, pages_read_engagement
- On return, the system syncs campaigns, ad sets, ads, and the last 7 days of metrics
Meta OAuth tokens last 60 days. We refresh them automatically before they expire — you don't need to re-authorize.
Common errors
Meta blocks the permission request (error #190)
Usually because the app failed Meta App Review. DEXUN AdWhiz has passed review, but your specific ad account may be flagged as high-risk. Contact [email protected] with your act_xxx ID — we help escalate to Meta.
I don't see Instagram data
Instagram ads run through Meta Ads Manager. If IG data is missing, make sure your Instagram Business profile is linked to the Facebook Page inside the same Business Manager.
